Teenager arrested over fire at three play parks in Hull

A 16-year-old has been arrested following three suspected arsons at park playgrounds in Hull.

Humberside Police launched an investigation on Sunday after incidents at Alderman Kneeshaw Park and Bellfield Avenue. Another incident was found in East Park on Wednesday.

Officers later said they were reviewing CCTV footage after playground equipment was left badly damaged.

Humberside Fire and Rescue said there were no reports of injuries.

On Facebook, the Love Parks Hull page, which is run by Hull City Council, said the East Park playground will be closed until late Friday afternoon due to “the essential removal of a damaged unit that was destroyed”.

Humberside Police are asking anyone with information about the incidents to contact them on 101.
