Ted DiBiase reveals who he would have liked to wrestle from the current era – TJR Wrestling

On a recent edition of his podcast ‘Everybody’s Got A Pod’, WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase was asked who he would want to wrestle from today if he were still wrestling.

Although DiBiase admitted he doesn’t watch much current wrestling, he was quick to pinpoint one of the top WWE stars he would have loved to share the ring with.

Probably Cody Rhodes. There is a man who can work, and do you know why he can work? Because of where he comes from. He learned a lot from watching his father (Dusty Rhodes)… just like I learned from watching my father. In fact, I learned a lot from watching Cody’s dad!

Ted DiBiase’s son Ted DiBiase Jr. was formerly Cody Rhodes’ tag partner early in his WWE career. Ted DiBiase (Senior) also heaped high praise on Cody’s father, the late Dusty Rhodes.

I was still in college when I first met Dusty and Dick Murdoch, who were a tag team, but Dusty was just amazing. He could do it in the ring, and he could do it on the microphone, he could do it all. He was really great, he was very admired.

Ted DiBiase also picked another top WWE star who he rated very highly and whose roots have been in the wrestling world since a young age.

Another guy is Randy Orton, who grew up in the business like me, whose father (Cowboy Bob Orton) was a wrestler and was very good. And he is very good. I would include Randy in that discussion too, I would love to wrestle him if I could.
