‘Swamp People’ star caught in stabbing: ‘I also received a ticket for speeding last month’

Troy Landry, the star of “Swamp People,” was twice charged with “failing to tag an alligator while taking,” according to a WAFB report.

The famed alligator hunter, 64, was cited as a result of an undercover sting, according to an incident report from Wildlife and Fisheries (LDFW). Landry was cited for having an incorrectly tagged alligator and the dead alligator. Each carries a possible fine of up to $950 and a possible jail sentence of up to 120 days.

“I also got a speeding ticket last month, but I have nothing to say about it,” Landry told WAFB-TV.

According to WAFB, officers received a tip that people were hunting alligators in Lake Palourde without permission to hunt in that area. Two officers monitored the area for six hours until they spotted Landry and two other people, including “an unidentified cameraman.” come to the area by boat.

Landry, it was later determined, had permission to hunt on the property, but the report said he did not have the proper alligator tags.
