On October 14 at 11:34 p.m., the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to the 2000 block of Clark Street regarding a report of a kidnapping and sexual assault that occurred there earlier in the day.

Officers say they learned from the victim that the suspect forced her into the home, tied her up, beat her and sexually assaulted her until she was able to free herself several hours later and call for help.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment, authorities said.
