Student arrested for assaulting and insulting a police officer

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: The incident took place when a security officer managed a traffic accident in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate. During the process, a vehicle stopped nearby, causing further traffic congestion while the driver stood to observe the accident. The officer asked the driver to ride, but he refused, leading to a verbal altercation that turned into a physical confrontation. The officer then called for reinforcements.

Reinforcements arrived on the scene and brought the situation under control and arrested the driver. Investigation showed that the driver was a student at one of the institutes of the Public Prosecution Service for Applied Education and Training. The driver was referred for questioning, and the detective ordered his arrest and charged him with assault and battery on a police officer. He was then transferred to the Central Prison pending further investigation.
