Strictly fans shocked to discover Pete Wicks’ ‘real age’ before show starts

TOWIE stalwart Pete Wicks has stunned Strictly Come Dancing fans after his real age was revealed.

The tattooed lad, who is much loved by ITVBe viewers and reality TV fans, has left followers of the dance show stunned after his exact date of birth came to light.

After the full Strictly Come Dancing line-up was announced, fans took to Reddit en masse to insult Pete.

Someone on the forum suggested: “Pete Wicks is definitely under 35 and JB is probably just a little older.”

Yet Pete, often referred to as Pirate Pete by TOWIE fans, is actually 36.

This prompted one Reddit user to confirm: “Pete Wicks is 36, and JB Gill is 37.”

Another user responded enthusiastically: “What? No way! God, everyone is older than I think.”

A fan of the show added: This shocked me! I was just like you at their age.”

Pete rose to fame for his wild love life during his time on TOWIE.

He rose to fame when he joined the cast in 2015 and immediately hit it off with Jess Wright.

After Pete signed his contract with Strictly, he was spotted getting close to show pro Jowita Prysztal.

The duo were spotted laughing as they took a break from their intense training sessions.

Former Glitterball champion Jowita, who won the show in 2022 with wildlife cameraman Hamza Yassin, jokingly pointed her finger at the star and they beamed as they posed for a photo together on the balcony.

The handsome dancer, who previously dated Giovanni Pernice, wore a green sports bra and matching cycling shorts, while long-haired Pete wore his usual black T-shirt and jeans.

This comes after The Sun exclusively revealed he had signed.

Last month a source said: “Pete has joined the Strictly line-up and can’t wait to get started.

Pete previously appeared on Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and The Real Full Monty, where he stripped naked for charity.

But his dance floor adventure may be over before it even begins.

Earlier this week he was seen hunched over in pain as he admitted he had already suffered an ‘injury’.
