Steve Harvey’s heated response to white woman who asked about wife Marjorie Harvey in resurfaced video leaves fans stunned

Steve Harvey, 67, responded sarcastically to a crowd favorite on his talk show, in which he mentioned his wife, Marjorie Harvey.

“Ain’t no way,” the comedian captioned a video from his syndicated program, “Steve Harvey Show,” uploaded to X and YouTube on September 11.

In the clip, a white woman described a conflict she had with her husband at home. She explained that her husband “hates” the small table lamps in their home because he often has to turn them off when she forgets.

The woman asked Harvey directly for advice, asking, “What is Marjorie doing around the house that you can’t stand? And is there any way we can compromise on my lights?”

The “Original Kings of Comedy” star shook his head in disbelief at the woman’s question. He then shot back, “Why are you dragging my marriage out?”

“No, I love everything my wife does,” he continued. “I don’t care what my wife does. Your husband needs to learn that.”

Harvey added: “My dad taught me something a long time ago: It’s your job to buy the house. It’s her job to make it a home. Whatever she wants to do to make it a home, just keep your damn mouth shut.”

Steve’s advice was met with resistance in the YouTube comments section. One person stated, “I totally disagree with Steve this time. Both parties should be able to say, ‘Honey, I really don’t like that,’ otherwise one of them will be constantly uncomfortable and that’s bad for both of them.”

Another person posted: “Steve is wrong here, her husband loves her otherwise those lights would be broken. She is just being childish and not turning the lights off. It’s like guys not putting their clothes in the hamper. It’s annoying and childish. People need to grow up.”

After divorcing his first two wives, Steve married Marjorie Harvey (née Bridges) in 2007. Their 17-year relationship has become a regular trending topic, with fans constantly bringing up cheating allegations and rumors of a potential split between the two.

For example, one YouTube commenter responded to Steve’s comments in the resurfaced “Steve Harvey Show” video by writing, “And then his wife beat up the chef.”

Unsubstantiated rumors that Marjorie had cheated on the Daytime Emmy Award winner with his bodyguard and private chef began circulating online in August 2023.

Harvey indirectly addressed the rumored infidelity surrounding his wife during the 2023 InvestFest event in Atlanta. The “Family Feud” host essentially told the audience to mind their own business when it came to his marriage.

“I’m okay. Marjorie’s okay,” he said. “I don’t know what you guys are doing, but find something else to do, because we’re okay. Lord, have mercy. I wish I could curse.”

Additionally, Marjorie defended herself against the gossipers. She highlighted the Bible verse 1 Peter 2:23 in an Instagram post dated August 27, 2023.

“My husband and I usually don’t stop to call out all the bullshit and lies that are spread about us,” she wrote in the caption. “But to whom much is given, much is asked. I understand that my platform comes with some responsibility to those who may not be as strong as we are.”

Just like in 2023, Steve Harvey used the 2024 edition of InvestFest to get some of his stuff off his chest. Steve fired back at rival comedian Katt Williams during a conversation with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.

“Don’t go out on a limb talking to some dime boy who ain’t got no s–t of his own,” said Steve Harvey. “You quit climbing the wall, so you come down here and talk to his little punk-a–. Don’t do that.”

The veteran stand-up comedian exploded after Katt Williams appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast. In the interview, Williams ripped into Steve Harvey, Kevin Hart, Cedric The Entertainer, Rickey Smiley and more.
