Steam is giving away Funko Fusion achievements as Halloween candy thanks to a bug – Destructoid

The PC release of Funko Merger hasn’t gone as smoothly as expected. The game was released on Steam an hour late, and now a bug is causing players to receive achievements as if they were knocking on a door on Halloween.

Players are all dressed as their favorite characters from the many franchises included in the game. Funko Mergerexplore the worlds on offer and tackle Eddy, the evil protagonist of the story. They also unlock achievements at lightning speed thanks to a bug that will probably be patched soon.

According to Steam I have played Funko Merger for a total of only 56 minutes, but if you look at my current performance you’ll probably get a little confused:

According to this I have collected five million Vinyl (the main currency of the game, similar to Studs in the LEGO games), killed 1,000 enemies and played as every character available at the time. I even roamed around Sandford in the Warm Fuzz world for at least three quarters of my current playtime, destroying everything in sight to get Vinyl and chase a Goose.

It’s not just me either, although it would be funny if that were the case. Others have reported the same issue on Twitter, and some members of the official Funko Merger The Discord channel reported the same issue.

Austin O’Brien, Senior Social Media Manager for 10:10 Games, acknowledged the bug in the Discord channel:

Like I said, this bug will likely be fixed soon, and I feel a bit conflicted about it. On one hand, the completionist in me is excited to see these achievements showing up quickly, despite me not actually doing what I need to do to unlock them. On the other hand, I’m fully aware of how cheap it makes the achievement itself.

I’m looking forward to getting started with them once the bug is patched and earning them myself, but for now I can just pretend I got them the right way, right?
