Statement from Robert Kraft on the passing of team physician Dr. Mark Price

Robert Kraft on behalf of the entire New England Patriots organization on the passing of team physician Dr. Mark Price (1972-2024):

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Dr. Mark Price, a valued team physician, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Dr. Price became the Patriots’ head team physician and medical director in 2016 and served with exceptional expertise. His contributions to the health and well-being of our players were invaluable and his dedication to excellence was evident in every aspect of his work.

Not only did he serve the Patriots, but he also served as a Patriot as a Captain in the US Navy Reserves. He was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for his service in combat operations in Afghanistan.

Dr. Price was an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon at Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School, further solidifying his expertise and dedication to the medical field.

His efforts extended beyond the football field and he has impacted countless lives through his medical practice and community involvement.

We extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Price’s family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time. His legacy will endure through the many lives he touched and the lasting impact of his work.
