Stanley man accused of child molestation

CHIPPEWA FALLS – A Stanley man has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl.

Phillip A. Jordan, 54, was charged in Chippewa Count Court with four counts of child sexual abuse and two counts of child sexual exploitation.

Judge Steve Gibbs set a court date for Wednesday. Jordan was initially arrested this spring and released on $2,500 bail. Under the terms of his release, Jordan is not allowed to have any contact with the victim or any juveniles.

According to the criminal complaint, the 17-year-old woman told authorities on Jan. 31 that she had been sexually assaulted a day earlier at a home in Stanley. She underwent a sexual assault examination at a local hospital and forensic evidence was collected and sent to the State Crime Lab.

The woman described the attack to investigators, saying Jordan ordered her to undress and took pictures of her before sexually assaulting her.

An officer interviewed Jordan on February 1.

“(The officer) provided the allegations to Mr. Jordan, which he did not deny. However, Mr. Jordan later stated that there was no sexual contact between him and Victim No. 1,” the complaint reads.

The officer obtained a DNA buccal swab from Jordan, which was sent to the State Crime Lab.

“A State Crime Lab report, dated July 30, 2024, indicates that Philip Jordan’s DNA profile matches DNA found from a swab of the inner crotch and front panel of Victim #1’s underwear; and a swab from the outer crotch of victim #1’s underwear. Mr. Jordan’s DNA profile matches the DNA found on the vaginal swab of Victim #1,” the complaint states.

Jordan has no prior criminal record in Wisconsin.
