Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports multiple assault incidents, and charges have been filed

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. – The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported two separate assault incidents this weekend, both resulting in multiple charges. The incidents are detailed in the Daily Incident Report released Monday.

The first incident occurred on Nov. 2 at approximately 3:34 p.m. on Ringgold Road, where officers responded to an alleged assault involving a man and his girlfriend’s father. According to the report, the suspect was charged with assault and battery. He was later released by the magistrate on personal recognizance.

Later that evening, around 6 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a basketball court on Anvil Road after reports of a fight. The altercation initially involved youths arguing over a football match, but tensions escalated when adults became involved in a separate physical altercation while officers were on scene. Authorities quickly intervened to break up the second fight.

Following an investigation, three adults were charged with assault and battery, as well as disorderly conduct, and were released on personal recognizance. Four juveniles involved in the initial altercation received criminal complaints for assault, battery and disorderly conduct.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released any further details about the people involved or the nature of the disputes.
