Springfield police are investigating a shooting on National Avenue

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Sunday evening, officers were called to the 1100 block of North National in Springfield for an assault call.

Officers discovered that an argument between 2 people who knew each other escalated and 1 person was shot. This person was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The police speak of an isolated incident. No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
