It was Lucas Martinez (22′) who had given Argentina an early lead. Harmanpreet scored a clutch goal with few moments left before the end of the final quarter.

India started the season with a 3-2 win against New Zealand.

In Pool B, India are now top with two wins and a draw, giving them a total of seven points. In second place are India’s next opponents, Belgium, who have won both their matches. India will face Belgium on August 1.
