Source – Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown suffered bruise, cramps against Bucs

DETROIT — Detroit Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown was initially thought to have only a contusion and cramping despite limping throughout Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

St. Brown left the game with about 30 seconds left on the clock after catching a ball on the first play of the Lions’ final drive.

The two-time Pro Bowler did not return for the Lions’ final five games during the 20-16 loss and was seen on the sidelines for treatment and evaluation of his legs.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Sunday that Brown is “doing fine,” adding that he doesn’t think the injury is “anything long-term, so that’s good news.”

St. Brown finished with a team-high 11 catches for 119 yards against Tampa Bay. It was his seventh career game with 10 or more receptions.

The Lions (1-1) visit the Arizona Cardinals (1-1) in Week 3.
