Legendary left-handed Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram has indicated that there is bad blood within the national team, saying: “Someone has to speak the truth.”

He asked what was going on among the players, because “someone is in a strange mood” and “this guy is not talking to that other guy”.

There is a lot of speculation about disagreements within the squad. Wasim feels it is time for someone to clear the air, as all the rumours are affecting the team’s performance.

“Someone has to speak the truth about this Pakistan cricket team. Things are getting a bit out of hand. Someone’s mood is not good, this man is not talking to that man. Come on, guys! What is going on! You have played with the emotions of the entire nation, there is a limit to everything,” the Sultan of Swing was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

Pakistan recently participated in the 2024 T20 World Cup and lost their first two matches against the United States and India.

Despite making a comeback and beating Canada and Ireland, it was not enough to secure a spot in the Super Eights.
