Stewart was the WWHL bartender on Sunday night to celebrate Snoop’s 53rd birthday. The rapper was also a guest on Cohen’s show Seth Meijers.

Friends come in all shapes and sizes, but we were surprised when we heard about these celebrity friendships. Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg first connected in 2008 when Snoop appeared on Stewart’s show Martha. Their chemistry was easy to see and led to their own cooking show, Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. “This is magical, isn’t it (…)

Stewart agreed, telling Cohen that this was “not true.” Snoop said Stewart doesn’t “fight with people” and is standing up for his longtime friend.

Stewart explained that “after I went to prison,” she felt her friendship with 76-year-old Garten began to falter. (Stewart spent five months in jail and was found guilty on charges of conspiracy to obstruct and making false statements to federal investigators in 2004. The lifestyle mogul has continued to maintain her innocence.)

“That’s when I stepped in,” Snoop joked about their friendship. Cohen added: “When one friend goes out, another friend comes in.”

Stewart previously addressed the status of her friendship with Garten in an interview The New Yorker published last month. Garten claimed in the profile that she and Stewart drifted off when they no longer lived together. Stewart thought differently.

“When I was sent to Alderson Prison, she stopped talking to me,” Stewart told the publication. “I found that extremely distressing and extremely unkind.”

Garten “strongly” denied the claims. Stewart’s old publicist, Susan Magrinomade it clear that there is “no feud” between them. Magrino also said Stewart is “not bitter at all” about what happened to Garten.

Plenty of celebrities have gone to prison and made lasting friendships on the inside, but only a handful get the chance to bond with other famous people. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino – who spent eight months at FCI Otisville in New York – interacted with not one but two big names while on staff (…)

Stewart was instrumental in launching Garten’s career. The pair met in East Hampton before starting a friendship.

“My desk was right in front of the cheese case and we just started talking,” Garten recalled during a 2017 interview. “We ended up doing benefits together, at her house, and I was the caterer, and then we became friends.”

Garten also praised Stewart for her role as a pioneer in the field of cooking.

“I think she did something really important, which is she took something that wasn’t appreciated, which was domestic art, and took it to a level where people were proud of it and it completely changed the landscape,” she said. “I then went my own way, which is that I’m not a trained professional chef. Cooking is really hard for me – now that I’ve been in the food business for 40 years, it’s still hard for me.”
