Sky Sports made hilarious mistake during coverage of Tottenham vs Arsenal

Sky Sports made a mistake during the Tottenham vs Arsenal match on Sunday.

The Gunners emerged victorious over their rivals in a match that saw them without a number of key players.

Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, Mikel Merino, Riccardo Calafiori, Oleksandr Zinchenko and several other players were absent due to injuries or suspensions.

That didn’t stop Mikel Arteta’s side from recording a memorable 1-0 victory over their arch-rivals, thanks to a goal from Gabriel.

The Brazilian centre-back headed home the 0-0 goal in the second half of the match and subsequently helped the Gunners defend their lead.

He was named Man of the Match for his fine performance, but Sky Sports named his teammate Gabriel Jesus as Man of the Match.

Jesus came on late in the second half as Arteta tried to strengthen his team with substitutions and played little part in the victory.

Gabriel’s performance was worthy of the prize, but Sky Sports named his compatriot Man of the Match.

The centre-back formed the backbone of Arsenal’s defence at Tottenham Stadium on Sunday alongside William Saliba.

The Gunners stuck to their excellent defence, which has been their strength since last season.

Gabriel scored the winning goal for Arsenal against Tottenham.

Jorginho, who started the match due to Declan Rice’s suspension, praised Gabriel for his performance in the post-match interview on Sky Sports.

Arsenal have looked solid defensively all season

Last season they conceded the fewest goals in the Premier League and they have started this season in the same manner.

Arteta’s side have conceded just one goal in four Premier League games this season and have already travelled to Villa Park and Tottenham Stadium.

The Gunners next face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and will travel to the Etihad Stadium for that.

Their defence will face their biggest test yet this season, with both Gabriel and Saliba having to keep Erling Haaland quiet, who is currently in the best form of his life.
