‘Situation still open’ – Fabrizio Romano on Man United star’s future

It looked like Jadon Sancho would leave Manchester United this summer, but a move away from the club has still not materialised.

The England winger had a public spat with manager Erik ten Hag last season and was subsequently loaned to Borussia Dortmund, where he impressed with his performances.

With Sancho, Dortmund reached the Champions League final, which they lost to Real Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Barcelona have been linked with a move for the attacker, but with less than a week left in the transfer window he is still a Man United player.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano provided the latest update on the Man United player’s future and the status of his potential departure from the club.

Romano told GiveMeSport exclusively:

“It’s a 50/50 situation, from what I hear, there’s still a good chance he’ll stay at Manchester United, but the situation is still open. From what I hear, for example, yesterday, Sancho’s agents were approached by Juventus.

Jadon Sancho’s future at Man United remains unclear.

“PSG spoke to the player’s agents at the end of July, beginning of August, but never made an official offer after that, and never approached Manchester United either. So PSG are not betting on this.

“For Sancho, I think he is still an open story, an open race. Let’s see what Juventus decide to do and let’s see if other clubs can jump into the race. But I think for Sancho we have to be alert until the end of the transfer window.”

Jadon Sancho must leave Man United

According to Romano’s update, Sancho could stay at Man United this summer.

The winger has been given too little playing time this season as he is at the bottom of the club’s pecking order.

The club’s positions on the flanks have been set, as was evident in the opening match of the season against Fulham.

A move away from Old Trafford would be beneficial for Sancho personally, as he would be able to play regularly and become a regular starter elsewhere.

Man United and the player are hoping that the winger will still be granted a transfer at the last minute.
