“Darlin’ Don’t Go” singer Jason “Sundance” Head, 46, was shot at his Texas ranch on Friday. TMZ was first to report that the shooting took place in a rural part of the Lone Star State. The online site said paramedics managed to get the Season 11 winner of “The Voice” into stable condition and that he was recovering at a hospital in Tyler. Senior Officer Trey Newman told the story The New York Post “He is stable,” adding that the gunshot wound “was in his marine area.” ‘All vital organs were missed. It is not his own fault.” Newman added, “We don’t know if it was an accident with his weapon or if it was another hunter in the area. The bullet is lodged in some fatty tissue, and the only way that could have happened is if it traveled through something else.” The rep added: “His wife is now on her way to the hospital to get some more information from the doctors. We’re not sure if he’s awake.” Earlier on Friday, Head posted a photo on his Facebook page of the inside of a tent. “This morning I woke up to the sound of silence,” he captioned the photo. Newman told The Post that Head was hunting on his ranch at the time. The ‘Me and Jesus’ singer called 911 himself.
