Show it all and have a laugh at Nude Stand-Up Comedy Hall of Fame

In early 2013, Lianne Mauladin contacted Bare Oaks to see if we would be interested in having the stand-up comedians from the Merry Janes of Comedy perform at Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park. When asked if they were okay with performing without clothes, Lianne replied that they were okay with us being naked, but they didn’t think they had to be naked.

After our Ethical Naturism philosophy was explained as the reason why nudity is required, she said she would ask the other comics. Although she had some difficulty finding comedians willing to perform naked, she managed to put on an excellent show. Since then, it has become a personal challenge for many in the comedy community. Stand-up performance is already one of the most intimidating performance formats; doing it naked is one of the few things that can make it even more challenging.

About Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park

Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park is a year-round naturist park near Toronto where the entire family can experience traditional naturist values ​​in a modern setting. We are nestled between the natural wilderness of the Ontario Greenbelt and Oak Ridges Moraine. Our diverse landscape includes open spaces, woods, ponds, streams and a small lake. We also have many recreational facilities. Our clubhouse offers year-round amenities including saunas and a hot tub. Bare Oaks offers day memberships and seasonal camping, but also welcomes visitors and travelers.

Some may use the terms nudist and nudism to describe us and what we do. However, we prefer naturism and naturism because our credo is so much more than just taking off your clothes. It is a philosophy of life with physical, psychological, ecological, social and moral benefits. We go beyond mere recreational pursuits and promote ethical naturism. We strive to live a naturist life and nudity is key to body acceptance and an integral part of our naturist philosophy. We are therefore not clothing optional. Clothing is worn for protection only. However, we do give new visitors the opportunity to adapt.
