A top year for Russia Diana Schnaider continues on the ATP Tour. The 20-year-old will be fighting for her third WTA title – and third on three surfaces – in Budapest on Sunday after beating Eva Lys 6-3, 6-3 on Saturday.

Shnaider, who is in 28th place, a personal best, will compete against Aliaksandra Sasnovich for the title.

The number 134 Sasnovich defeated Anna Karolina Schmiedlova 6-3, 3-6, 7-5. She is competing for her first WTA title.

Shnaider, a former NCAA star at North Carolina State University, has won titles in Hua Hin (hard) and Bad Homburg (grass) so far in 2024. She hopes to become the youngest player to win WTA singles titles on all three surfaces in a single year since 19-year-old Caroline Wozniacki in 2009.
