Shane Lowry has ‘incredible’ day at Wimbledon with wife Wendy

Offaly golfer Shane Lowry is back in full swing after a day at Wimbledon with his wife Wendy and some friends.

In a social media post, Shane wrote: “Incredible day at Wimbledon yesterday. Now back to work to be ready for The Open.”

He added a series of photos of himself and his wife Wendy to the post, along with friends. He also shared a photo of himself meeting tennis star Novak Djokovic at the famous venue.

The Open Championship takes place at Royal Troon next week. Shane won the Open at Royal Portrush in 2019.

He heads to Royal Troon in good form, following a top 20 finish at the US Open and a top 10 finish at the recent Traveler’s Championship.

Earlier in the season he finished sixth in the PGA Championship at Valhalla and is also preparing to represent Ireland at the Olympics, alongside long-time friend Rory McIlroy.
