Sergio Aguero gives verdict on ‘BEST’ Premier League winger duo, slams Man United duo – while Man City legend heaps special praise on top club star

Manchester City legend Sergio Agüero has given his verdict on his favourite Premier League wingers.

Aguero paid a compliment to a star player playing for a top club.

However, he brutally decided not to include a Manchester United duo in his selection.

Agüero played for City between 2011 and 2021, making 390 appearances and becoming the club’s all-time top scorer with 260 goals.

He won the Premier League five times with City and had a brief stint at Barcelona before retiring in December 2021 due to heart problems.

Aguero believes Liverpool stars Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah are the most striking winger duo in the Premier League at the moment.

However, Agüero said it is difficult to compare them with Manchester City duo Savinho and Jeremy Doku, who do not have as much Premier League experience.

As reported by Bola VIP, Aguero said: ‘Diaz and Salah have more time in the PL, and more time together than Savinho and Doku. That makes it harder to compare.

“But both are the best duo in modern times. Salah and Diaz are a scoring combination, they can assist well and they are very well-coordinated with their teammates. Doku and Savinho need time, but their potential is enormous.”

Aguero didn’t even mention Manchester United duo Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford

Aguero spoke highly of Diaz, saying the winger’s experience at Liverpool has taken Colombia to a higher level.

Diaz scored three goals in as many games for Liverpool at the start of the Premier League season.

Aguero said: ‘Luis Diaz has proven his calibre time and time again. However, I think Colombia has grown from Luis’ own experience in Europe.

“It took their whole team to a higher level. He’s not the only player who did that – (Daniel) Munoz playing for Palace is also notable. That kind of background makes a national team more versatile.”

However, Manchester United duo Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford were not even discussed by Aguero.

Garnacho and Rashford are yet to score in the Premier League this season, while Erik ten Hag’s side have taken just three points from their opening three games.
