See all the celebrities in Paris for the 2024 Olympics

Gold medals aren’t the only thing that shines in Paris.

Stars flocked to France to watch the Olympics live and in person on the first few days of international competition. Lady Gaga, who had just performed “Mon Truc en Plumes” in Dior at the opening ceremony, cheered on superstar Simone Biles and the U.S. women’s gymnastics team from the Bercy Arena, where Tom Cruise, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Greta Gerwig, Baz Luhrmann, Jessica Chastain, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Nick Jonas, Anna Wintour, Snoop Dogg, Lena Waithe, Jon M. Chu and Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav were also on hand to capture the somersaults, tumbling and balance beam action.

First Lady Jill Biden snagged a seat next to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass on the first night of swimming, while Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates and tennis great Serena Williams watched the tennis match between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Spike Lee and Queen Latifah watched as the men’s basketball team defeated Serbia in a match that featured more stars on the court than in the stands, thanks to a roster of NBA superstars including LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Devin Booker and more. Mick Jagger watched on screens while Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban checked out the women’s street skateboarding.

The Olympics run through August 11, which means there will likely be plenty of star-studded action and lots of social media posts from the Olympic venues. Check out a recap of what’s been happening in the City of Love so far below.
