Second man charged with assault in strip club, had victim’s brother in chokehold

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A second person has been charged in connection with an attack at a strip club in Davenport earlier this year.

Police said 44-year-old Dzeat J. Beciri of Silvis put the victim’s brother in a headlock, preventing intervention in the attack that caused a fractured skull and broken jaw after a blow to the head in the parking lot of Daisy Dooks on the 13th of April.

Beciri was booked into the Scott County Jail Thursday on charges of malicious wounding causing serious injury, a class C misdemeanor; assault while participating in a crime, a class D felon; and engaging in a riot, a class D misdemeanor.

Online jail records show he posted $5,000 and was released a short time later. He has a preliminary hearing on Tuesday.

Michael McFedries, 45, of Davenport was arrested April 30 during the assault and charged with malicious wounding causing serious injury.
