The Los Angeles County Public Health Department is warning residents planning to visit the following Los Angeles County beaches to avoid swimming, surfing or playing in saltwater.

WARNINGS FOR THE BEACH AREA:

-Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu

100 meters along the coast from the public toilets.

-Ballona Creek at Dockweiler State Beach. Close to Dockweiler Tower 40

100 meters along the coast from the creek.

-Las Flores Creek at Las Flores State Beach

The entire swimming area.

-Walnut Creek at Paradise Cove

The entire swimming area.

-Solstice Creek at Dan Blocker County Beach

The entire swimming area.

-Marie Canyon Storm Drain on Puerco Beach

100 meters along the coast from the public access stairs.

-Sweetwater Canyon Storm Drain at Carbon Canyon Beach

The entire swimming area.

-Castlerock Storm Drain at Topanga County Beach

The entire swimming area.

-Ramirez Creek at Paradise Cove

100 meters along the coast from the Paradise Cove Pier.

-Cabrillo Inland Beach in San Pedro

The entire swimming area.

-Trancas Creek at Zuma Beach

100 meters along the coast from the creek.

-Escondido Creek at Escondido State Beach

The entire swimming area.

-Topanga Canyon Beach in Malibu

100 meters along the coast from the lagoon.

-Malibu Lagoon at Surfrider Beach

100 meters along the coast from the public toilets.

-Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica

100 meters along the coast from the pier.

-Mother Beach in Marina Del Rey

The entire swimming area.

These warnings were issued because the bacteria levels in the last test exceeded health standards.
