The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris kicks off on July 26 with 45 sports, including 28 core Olympic disciplines, plus exciting additions such as breaking, skateboarding, surfing and sport climbing.   • July 28: Archery (women’s team event), more rowing, shooting and swimming events.
  • July 29: Archery (men’s team event), ongoing events in hockey, rowing, shooting, swimming, table tennis.
  • July 30: Archery (individual events), Horse riding, more hockey games, Shooting, Tennis.
  • July 31 – August 11: Events in the disciplines of athletics, badminton, boxing, golf, judo, sailing, table tennis, weightlifting, wrestling and more.

Hope for a medal:

India is pinning its hopes on athletes like Neeraj Chopra in athletics, PV Sindhu in badminton and the Indian hockey team, hoping to emulate their bronze medal success in Tokyo 2020. Mirabai Chanu is hoping for another medal in weightlifting after her silver in Tokyo.
