Save $800 on a massive 49″ Samsung Odyssey Gaming Monitor and get a second 24″ Monitor for free

As part of its Fall Sale event, Samsung is dropping prices on two of its most popular super ultra-wide monitors: The 49-inch Samsung Odyssey G9 gaming monitor is now $799.99, down from its $1,500 MSRP, and the 49-inch Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor is now $1,099.99, down from its $1,700 MSRP. Those are already significant discounts, but Samsung is also throwing in a 24-inch Odyssey G3 gaming monitor at no extra cost, making it a better deal than purchasing it from third-party retailers like Amazon or Best Buy.

If you’re looking for a super ultra-wide monitor at a great price, look no further than the 49-inch Odyssey G9. Unlike Samsung’s other 49-inch monitors, this one doesn’t have a Mini-LED or OLED panel, which keeps the price point incredibly low. That said, the G95C is no slouch; its VA panel features a speedy 1ms GtG response time, up to a 240Hz refresh rate, and 1000nits peak HDR brightness. It also features both DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports for maximum compatibility.

While the G9 isn’t a true 4K monitor, it still packs plenty of pixels into its 49-inch display. Its 5120×1440 resolution is the equivalent of two 27-inch monitors side by side. Its horizontal pixel count (5120 pixels) is even higher than a traditional 4K monitor (3840 pixels).

The Odyssey OLED G9 ups the ante by replacing the VA panel with an OLED panel. OLED panels have individual self-illuminating OLEDs that can turn on and off independently of each other, allowing for true blacks and incredible contrast ratios. The picture quality, particularly in HDR, is far better than what you’ll see with traditional IPS, VA, or TN panels, and for many, the black levels alone are worth the extra cost of going OLED. Samsung’s quantum dot OLED panels are even better, as they’re brighter than regular OLED panels. OLED monitors are also great for gaming, due to their near-instant response time (0.3ms or less) and zero ghosting. Newer panels also come with various features to minimize burn-in, including Pixel Shift and Pixel Refresh. As long as you take good care of your monitor (such as auto-hiding the taskbar, turning off the screen or using a screensaver, and setting your desktop background to a slideshow), you will likely never experience visible burn-in on your monitor.

Both monitors come with a second 24″ Odyssey G3 monitor

The Odyssey G3 monitor should automatically be added to your cart. It normally retails for $199, but has been slashed to $0. This is a capable 1080p gaming monitor with a 1ms response time and up to a 180Hz refresh rate.
