A doctored image sparked marriage rumors about Mirza and Shami

Mirza and Shami’s marriage rumors were further fueled by a doctored image circulating on social media.

The doctored photo showed the two athletes in wedding attire, but it was later revealed to be an edited version of an image from Mirza’s 2010 wedding to cricketer Shoaib Malik.

In the altered image, Malik’s original image had been replaced with Shami’s, leading to widespread speculation and subsequent denial by Imran.

Malik’s remarriage and Mirza’s statement

Malik shocked everyone by marrying Pakistani actor Sana Javed in January 2024, finally confirming the speculation surrounding his strained relationship with Mirza.

The next day, Mirza’s sister Anam wrote on Instagram: “Sania has always kept her personal life out of the public eye.”

“However, today the need has arisen for her to tell that Shoaib and she have been separated for a few months. She wishes Shoaib all the best for his new journey!’
