Samantha Ruth Prabhu thinks South Indian directors are ‘not great’ at marketing and talks about how Baahubali bridged the gap between North and South

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has joined the pan-Indian bandwagon with her back-to-back releases. The actress has worked in films that released in all corners of the country and received huge acceptance. She recently revealed why she believes it has taken years to bridge the gap between North and South films.

Speaking at the Business Today Most Powerful Women in 2024 event, Samantha Ruth Prabhu claimed that the only possible reasons why it took so long to bridge the gap between the two poles of cinema was due to the fact that South Indian filmmakers aren’t that great. when it comes to marketing.

She said: ‘I didn’t think about why it took so long. However, I think South Indians may be great filmmakers but may not be great at marketing. I think that may have been one of the reasons.”

Moving on, the Kushi actress also credited a creative mind like SS Rajamouli, who was perhaps the first to take up the challenge and break the boundaries of regional cinema with the super-successful Baahubali series.

The actress revealed, “Rajamouli Sir has really opened up (more avenues for South Indian films) with Baahubali. He was probably the first to think, “Let’s see, I think this movie has wings.” I’m really glad he thought that because he really opened the gates.”

Samantha has been very outspoken and outspoken about her opinions, whether it be about her professional or personal life.

In response, the diva proclaimed that people should be less judgmental and revealed how she has to strictly monitor her weight by opting for an anti-inflammatory diet.

She said, “One more comment about weight. I saw a whole thread about my weight. If you guys must know, I’m on a strict anti-inflammatory diet necessary for my condition, which keeps me from gaining weight, keeps me within a certain weight range, and keeps me in a good place with my condition. Stop judging people. Let them be, live and let live. Please guys, it’s 2024.”

On the work front, Samantha’s recent release Citadel: Honey Bunny has received positive responses from fans across the world. The series was released on Amazon Prime Video on November 7, 2024.
