Rose Namajunas believes victory over Tracy Cortez at UFC Denver could lead to title fight: ‘I see myself fighting for the belt very soon’

“When I first started my career in the UFC, that was my vision. It wasn’t super solid, but I definitely wanted to be a champion,” Namajunas told MMA Junkie Radio. “And then in the back of my mind, I thought about becoming a two-division champion as well.

“But that was so far away, I wasn’t sure if I could make it happen. But now I know I can.”

“I would say I’m right in that title fight (with a win),” Namajunas said. “God willing, I’m healthy, in shape and ready to go with a win and any opportunity they want to give me. I see myself fighting for the belt very soon. It’s just a matter of doing my job and fighting to the best of my ability. Anything is possible.”
