Rodeo star Spencer Wright honors son Levi at his funeral after fatal toy tractor accident

In a time of great sadness, Spencer Wright leans on the humor of memories of his late son Levi’s.

The rodeo champion spoke with his 3-year-old son funeral service on June 11, where we chose to share a few stories about the boy that made those in attendance laugh. Spencer remembered his firstborn son as a “funny kid” and said everyone was “good to Levi.”

During his brief remarks, the rodeo champion further thanked everyone for their support. Earlier in the ceremony, he stood next to his wife Kallie and choked back tears as she spoke about their son. At one point she called Levi “as pure and tender as can be” and said it was impossible to get mad at him.

“His laugh will always be my favorite sound,” the grieving mother said.

As Kallie concluded her remarks, she said, “We are eagerly awaiting the day we can see him again.”

Kallie had been sharing public updates about her son since he had an accident with his electric toy tractor near a creek in late May. Levi was later hospitalized for two weeks before his untimely death on June 2.

‘His father was the one he looked up to most’ his obituary reads. “He wanted to be just like him and was well on his way.”

Days after Levi’s death, the mother of three children reflected on the accident that took her son’s life and explained how it unfolded.

“Unless you’ve been to my house, it’s hard to imagine how something like this could happen. There’s a creek that runs through our 50-acre property and separates our house from Grandma and Grandpa’s. a road has been built This is how we got to their house safely most days as our dirt road is sometimes a NASCAR race track. My kids have ridden their bikes, rode toys and even walked this way a million times for a short one time during the year and may change overnight,” she further wrote Facebook. “Levi didn’t do anything he hasn’t done before, but this time the water was at its peak and strong enough to push his tractor off the road into the creek as he drove through. He asked me to ride on his tractor and I explained that grandma wasn’t home, he wasn’t allowed to drive through the creek or the road and just drive around the house. As he drove away, I ran back into the house. That’s a decision that will haunt me for the rest of my life life will pursue life.”

Kallie continued, “At that point, he was my sole responsibility. Whether I went back to check on my sleeping baby, swap laundry, wash a bottle, or put away lunch, I honestly don’t know. Whatever it was, it wasn’t. more important than following him that day. While I firmly believe that our stories were written long before we reach this earth and that our Lord will take us when He is ready, this will keep me awake for eternity, but with this I know. 3 things to be true: 1. I am not a perfect mother, but I am a good mother. 2. My little boy loved me with everything he had. 3. Never say ‘never’ because it only takes a few seconds and it could happen to you too I pray that anyone who judges me or has hurtful words to say will never find themselves on the receiving end of a nightmare like this.
