Rockstar Games confirms gameplay, mission details leak

Rockstar Games has seemingly confirmed a leak that reveals gameplay and mission details about the upcoming title Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6.

GTA 6 Countdown, an X account that regularly posts about the title, shared a roundup of the latest rumors about the game, a gaming website reported.

The post included a screenshot, which was later deleted by the copyright holder, leading fans to speculate whether the rumors were indeed true.

It has been rumored that Lucia will be the central character in Rockstar Games’ upcoming title, while she and Jason will have separate introductory missions.

In addition, the publisher has developed the story in a more grounded way, with the protagonists figuring things out and becoming embroiled in the family drama in Grand Theft Auto’s sixth title.

Although it was reported that GTA 6 will have massive side content, the story will be shorter than Red Dead Redemption 2.

Fans believed the rumors to be true after GTA 6 Countdown retweeted the original post, writing that Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games’ parent company, had deleted the screenshot.

“This leak is all but confirmed as we just received a DMCA takedown from Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two,” the X handle wrote.

Meanwhile, fans expect Rockstar Games to release the second trailer for the highly anticipated GTA 6 on October 4.

Rumors about the likely release of the second trailer increased after the developer posted a job opening for a Screenshot Capture Artist.

It should be noted that Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, announced earlier this year that GTA 6 will be released in the fall of 2025.

Later, Rockstar Games announced that the sixth installment in the Grand Theft Auto series would be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but failed to announce a release date for a PC version.

The first and only trailer for the highly anticipated game was released last year and shows that GTA 6 will be set in a fictional Vice City, reminiscent of Miami, and will feature the first playable female character in the franchise.
