MIN WOO LEE COMPLETES A HATTRICK OF CHIP INS

Min Woo Lee is at -17 after his third chip of the week on the 15th. He is at -3 for the day despite a double bogey on the seventh.

BHATIA TRYING TO GET PAR ON 13 AFTER BAD TIRE

Bhatia’s tee shot on the par-4 13th went just 97 yards after hitting the trees while taking the dog-leg. He’s now hit his second 246 yards and gets a wedge in his bid to save par, which he does with a chip and a putt – remarkable. That must feel like a birdie.

CO-LEADER DAVIS WITH A GOOD BIRDIE LOOK AT 13

Cam Davis is making a splash as the frontrunner. His lag putting was excellent from distance, but he will be in for a close call with a birdie on the 13th after he takes his approach shot from 102 yards to seven feet. It could be a pivotal moment as co-leader Bhatia has a poor shot behind him, but Davis’ effort slips by.

AMAZING RECOVERY SHOT FROM CAM DAVIS

Cam Davis missed the fairway on the right 12th with a big slice, but the 6-foot-1 pro has a 216-yard recovery shot to the back of the green. What a shot. And his 20-yard putt is almost as good as he sticks out to leave a tap in for par.

RAI MAKES BOUNCE BACK BIRDIE ON THE 10TH

Rai’s rollercoaster round continues after a bounce back birdie at the 10th to get back to even and -17. But he then found the sand on the par 3 11th. Co-leader Bhatia stands on the green 50 feet away on the 231-yard hole as he makes par and Rai drops to -16.

AMATEUR LUKE CLANTON MAKES A NAME FOR HIMSELF

We’ve seen Nick Dunlap win on the PGA Tour this year as an amateur and could Luke Clanton be on the verge of following in his footsteps? The 20-year-old amateur from Florida State University is -2 today at -16 overall and just two shots off the lead.

DAVIS LIPS OUT FOR BIRDIE ON THE 10TH

Davis just made par on the 10th as he and Cam Young both made 4s. They remain -18 and -17 respectively.

Rai misses the ninth as he threatens to drop another shot

Rai is even par for the day and after a birdie and a bogey. He will do well to save par on the par-3 ninth after missing the green on the right before chipping through. His final chip, however, goes stiff as he records a second bogey in four holes.

RAI AND BHATIA BOTH HAVE BIRDIE PUTTS ON THE PAR 4 EIGHTH

Rai and Bhatia will both look to birdie the par-4 8th after hitting wedges into the 383-yard hole, but they must settle for par.

CAMERON YOUNG STARTS TO BOIL

After a slow start today, Cam Young moved back to level play and -16 overall with his first birdie of the day on the eighth and has just pushed his tee shot down, flagging the ninth with a 204-yard shot to 10 feet that he makes. Co-leader Davis also hit the green, but is 40 feet away and must settle for par.

Davis BATTLES IN FRONT

Davis has birdied the par-5 seventh to move to -18 and take the lead on his own. But Bhatia is on the green in two and could quickly join him in the group behind him, chipping in and tapping in for birdie as Rai makes par.

RAI’S BOGEY THROWS OPEN THE FIELD

Rai is now level with three players and Cameron Young will have to drive if he wants to claim his first victory. He has barely hit a fairway and his putter is cold as he is +1 for seven holes and three strokes off the lead.

RAI FINDS THE FAIRWAY ON THE SIXTH

Leader Rai has pared the tricky 474-yard par-four sixth down to size with a 291-yard drive before firing a 7-iron approach into the left rough pin high. It’s the toughest hole on the course. His ball looks to be in the greenside rough, unlike Bhatia who has a birdie look from 13 feet. Rai chips out, but he’s nine feet from par and his effort falls short. It’s nerve-wracking.

RAI AND BHATIA BOTH MAKE PAR ON THE FIFTH

Rai is -3 on the par 3s this week, but his birdie putt on the fifth slides by from 15 feet on the right. He and Bhatia both make par and the lead remains one.

RAI MAKES ITS FIRST MISSTEP

Oh, Rai has just made his first mistake on the fourth with his third shot to the par five which he hit into a bunker from 95 yards. Probably just a lapse in concentration. Luckily he has just made a great bunker shot which he has made stiff and he will make par but Bhatia rolls in a birdie and the lead is back to one.

CAM DAVIS RECOVERS FROM BAD START

Cam Davis three-putted the first hole in a shocker, but he’s been recovering and narrowly missed a birdie putt on the par-5 fifth after he got his approach close. He’s tied for the day after a birdie on the third hole and remains -16 with Cameron Young and Bhatia, who has fallen back.

COOL, RAI RAI ON TRACK FOR PAR OP 3 AGAIN

Leader Rai sits third in regulation time and continues his controlled start, while Bhatia again has to fight to save par after chipping greenside, leaving him facing his first bogey of the week, extending Rai’s lead to two shots.

RAI SECOND IN RULES

Rai hit his birdie on the first hole directly onto the green and hit his second hole on the next hole. He putts close to make his fourth hole, still one hole ahead.

AMATEUR LUKE CLANTON MAKES AN IMPRESSION

Amateur Luke Clanton, 20, has impressed fans and experts alike this week. He is -1 for three holes today after a birdie on the third and is -15 overall. He is looking to equal Nick Dunlap by winning as an amateur.

LEADERS ON THE ROAD AS RAI RAISES POTENTIAL BIRDS

Bhatia and Rai have both teed off on the first, narrowly missing the fairway on either side. Rai has 145 meters left after a 262 meter drive and will play first and he shoots with a 7 iron to 1.20 meters. Bhatia only had 119 yards and his approach comes in hot and ends up in the rough past of the pin. Bhatia hits a par as Rai makes his birdie attempt.

CAMERON YOUNG ON THE ROAD

Young made a blistering start to the final round of the Travelers last weekend to put himself in contention, but he faces a battle to make par on the first after missing the fairway on the left. He played to 25 yards and now has a tricky five-footer to make par.

CHRIS KIRK HELPS FOR A PAR

Chris Kirk is at two par for his round at the turn and on a total of -8, but things could have been worse after he chipped in to save par on the ninth.

SIX PLAYERS AT -14 WHO WANT TO LAUNCH AN ATTACK

Troy Merritt, Nick Dunlap, Patrick Rodgers, Joel Dahmen, Luke Clanton and Min Woo Lee are all listed at -14 and are on the track to challenge the leaders. Someone from the peloton will surely emerge to climb the rankings.
