This alliance strengthens ASICS’ commitment to supporting athletes who are shaping the future of Indian sports.

ASICS, a leading global company founded in Kobe, Japan, is known for its high-quality athletic footwear and apparel. The name itself is derived from the Latin phrase “anima sana in corpore sano,” which translates to “a healthy mind in a healthy body.” The brand is best known for its running shoes, but its product line extends to a wide range of sportswear and equipment. With a focus on innovation and empowering athletes to reach their full potential, the sportswear company has become a global brand. Panghal joins a roster of successful Indian athletes sponsored by the sports brand, including tennis stars Sumit Nagal and Rohan Bopanna, cricket star Prasidh Krishna, squash champion Joshna Chinappa and hockey star Manpreet Singh.

Panghal’s meteoric rise through the wrestling ranks is a testament to her exceptional talent and unwavering dedication. She is one of the first Indian female wrestlers to win gold at the World Cadet Championships. Her impressive record boasts numerous national titles and podium finishes at prestigious international events, including a silver medal at the 2023 Asian Championships, a bronze medal at the 2022 Asian Games and a bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships. Interestingly, the young wrestling sensation from Haryana was conferred the prestigious Arjuna Award by the President of India in recognition of her remarkable achievements.
