Ricochet Expected To Join AEW Soon

Ricochet’s WWE deal officially expired in early July, with the former US Champion exiting the promotion after six years, with many expecting Ricochet to join All Elite Wrestling.

An update from Fightful Select states that Ricochet’s agent was backstage at this weeks AEW Dynamite tapings in Chicago, with it believed the agent is question is leading the discussions between their client and AEW, with Ricochet expected in the company ‘soon’.

Ricochet’s WWE deal officially expired at midnight on July 1, meaning that the highly regarded high-flier was contractually unable to appear on AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 30. It is unknown at the time of writing how far along Ricochet’s camp and AEW are in contract discussions, and as such it is unknown just when Ricochet could make his AEW debut, should he sign with the company.

A former US, Intercontinental, and NXT North American Champion in WWE, Ricochet has also held championships in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Dragon Gate USA, Lucha Underground, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, among others.

Should Ricochet become All Elite then he will be reunited with former indie colleagues Will Ospreay, The Young Bucks, and Swerve Strickland, amongst others.
