Rescuers rescue man from cave in Hart County

HART COUNTY, Ky. – Multiple agencies worked together Saturday to rescue a man from a cave in Hart County.

According to Hart County Search and Rescue, Inc., the company worked with the Linwood Volunteer Fire Department, Hart County Sheriff’s Department and Hart County Emergency Management to respond to a 19-year-old man who had not been seen since entering a cave.

According to the search and rescue service, they received the report around 5:36 p.m., more than two hours after the man disappeared.

Rescue teams entered the cave and found the person unharmed a few hours later, rescuers said.

Other agencies that assisted included the Kentucky State Police, Hart Coounty EMS, several local cavers, the TRACER team, and the National Cave Rescue Commission.
