Law enforcement authorities in Eagan said there will be increased patrols in and around Lebonon Hills Regional Park after two reports of sexual assault in the area.

What we know

Eagan Police said an assault occurred at Lebanon Hills Regional Park around 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 7.

According to police, the female victim was reportedly walking alone along the walking trail when she was attacked.

Law enforcement officials say a similar incident was reported near the same location on September 7 around 4:30 p.m., but the victim of that attack was able to escape.

Both the Eagan Police Department and the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office are increasing patrols in and around the park.

Authorities are asking the public to remain vigilant and travel with someone when using the park’s trail system.

Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call the tip line at 651-675-5799 or email [email protected].

What we don’t know
