Real Madrid planning transfer for Man City’s Rodri in the summer of 2025

Real Madrid currently boast one of the best squads in Europe and the La Liga giants plan to further strengthen it in 2025 by adding Rodri from Man City.

According to Spanish news agency AS, the winner of the 2024 European Championship is a key target for The Blancos and they are already planning to bring the midfielder back to Spain in 2025.

That would be a scary thought for the rest of Europe, as Carlo Ancelotti already has a formidable group of superstars at the Bernabeu. The La Liga champions added Kylian Mbappe to their ranks this summer, with Jude Bellingham following suit the year before.

Rodri is considered the best number six in the world and it would be a great idea for the club’s fans to add this Man City talent to the midfield with Federico Valverde and Bellingham.

The Spain international is in contention to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or and if he moves to Real Madrid next summer, the winner of Euro 2024 could lift the La Liga champions’ most prestigious individual award.

Man City star Rodri wanted by Real Madrid

Man City set to offer Real Madrid target Rodri new contract

Rodri has a contract with Man City until 2027, but the Premier League champions hope to offer him a new deal soon.

Many media outlets have reported in recent months that the Manchester club is prepared to offer the midfielder a contract that would double his current salary and exceed the £300,000-a-week mark, as the English giants want to keep the 28-year-old player for the long term.

The Spanish star is seen by many as Man City’s most important player. If there’s one star you’d want to empty your bank account for, it’s the winner of Euro 2024. Real Madrid are also interested in him.
