After being out of the mound since June 2023, Texas Rangers star pitcher Jacob deGrom is set to return.

The two-time Cy Young Award winner faced hard hitters for the third time Saturday and said he feels ready for a rehab assignment, according to the Associated Press (courtesy of ESPN).

“My arm feels great, except it’s been, what, how many months? Fourteen?” deGrom said. “You’ve got your (teammates) out there. You’re going to go up against other guys, and I think that helps a little bit.”
