Rams activate OT AJ Arcuri from practice squad for Week 1

The Los Angeles Rams may be without Rob Havenstein in their season opener against the Detroit Lions on Sunday night, and are looking to add some depth to their offensive line.

The team announced that it has activated AJ Arcuri from the practice squad for Week 1, a temporary promotion from reserve offensive tackle. Arcuri can play either left tackle or right tackle, so he will provide some certainty at both spots.

The Rams initially kept just seven offensive linemen on their 53-man roster, leaving them thin on the ground, especially at tackle, with Alaric Jackson out and Havenstein still nursing an ankle injury he suffered during training camp.

Arcuri is scheduled to play on Sunday and will then return to the practice group next week.
