Rain forces Olympic skateboarding competition to be postponed until Monday

The men’s Olympic street skating competition has been postponed for 48 hours due to heavy rain, organizers announced Saturday.

The preliminary rounds and final of the competition, originally scheduled for Saturday, will instead take place on Monday, a statement from Paris 2024 organisers said.

“Due to the bad weather conditions last night and following a meeting this morning with all relevant organisers, it has been decided to postpone the men’s street skating event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games until Monday 29 July,” the statement said.
