Rachel Hansen’s chilling final words emerge as police continue to hunt for killer 2 years later

Newly released 9/11 transcripts reveal the chilling final words of an Arizona teenager who was shot by a mysterious intruder while she slept in her apartment in 2022.

“I got shot,” Rachel Hansen, 19, gasped as she told a Gilbert police dispatcher on June 4, 2022. “Someone came in and shot me.

“Quick,” the fatally wounded teen pleaded, according to KTVK-TV News. “Oh (redacted), I’m bleeding. I’m bleeding.”

Hansen’s killer has still not been caught.

According to the transcript of the teen’s last call, the dispatcher tried to keep the dying victim on the line to help her.

“Do you have some kind of clean cloth there that you can apply pressure to? Is there anybody with you?” the dispatcher asked. “Are you near some kind of cloth or shirt or towel that you can use?”

“No,” Hansen replied.

“There’s nothing around? Rachel, I need you to talk to me, okay?” the 911 operator said.

“I can’t do that,” Hansen replied.

Emergency responders initially had trouble tracking down Hansen’s address, but were able to reach her within five minutes. The teen was later pronounced dead at the hospital, the outlet reported.

Now, two years later, her mother, Kim Hansen, tells KTVK, “It’s so hard to go on with life, to do what we have to do every day, without Rachel and without answers.”

The family has hired a private investigator to solve the cold case.

In addition to the 911 transcript, Gilbert police also released blurry footage of their response to Hansen’s call.

Still, her family said they hoped the actual audio recordings would be released.

“We wanted to hear our daughter’s voice and her last words, so we’re disappointed that it was only a transcript,” Kim Hansen told the outlet.

The watchdog organization Silent Witness is offering a $7,000 reward for the capture of the killer.
