Rumbling of red wings

There’s not much Red Wings news to talk about, other than a trade for one of Detroit’s biggest boom or bust prospects:

Dmitri Buchelnikov, 20 years old and former second-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, is switching teams. It’s still unclear when we’ll see it in North America, but I don’t think it will happen anytime soon.

Filip Hronek got PAID.

Good for Hronek. It’s quite a term for Vancouver to dish out, something I wouldn’t have wanted the Wings to give him. I noticed this on social media, but the deal is fine for now. Who knows what it will look like in two or three years.

Barclay Goodrow on exemptions

In terms of depth forward you could certainly do a lot worse. I bet he ends up in Tampa and reincarnates himself as a high-impact depth player… or something like that.

Oilers advance to game six

Last night’s game in Sunrise was quite a spectacle, but I’m sure Florida fans are starting to feel the heat. Edmonton still needs to win back-to-back to complete the story, which somehow feels like a gamble. At least the Oilers aren’t rolling over. It was fun to watch. Especially things like this:
