Pundit stunned by ‘beautiful’ play from Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch

The Netherlands drew 2-2 with Germany in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday night. The match was marked by a beautiful pass from Liverpool star Ryan Gravenberch, which earned much praise from former Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart.

The 22-year-old has undergone a transformation this season under new Liverpool manager Arne Slot, with the Dutch star impressing in the Reds’ first three Premier League games.

Gravenberch fills the role of number six for Slot and that suits the former Bayern Munich star perfectly, as he can play in midfield with his physical qualities.

The midfielder took his club form to the international stage during the current international break and had more moments of brilliance on Tuesday night against Germany. The 22-year-old assisted the Netherlands’ opening goal before producing one of the passes of the season so far.

The Liverpool star channelled his inner Trent Alexander-Arnold and played a superb long ball forward, but unfortunately for the player it didn’t result in a goal.

Commentator Rafael van der Vaart was full of praise for Gravenberch’s pass on Dutch television during half-time.

“That pass from Ryan Gravenberch… I actually wanted to go home after he gave that pass, because it doesn’t get any better than that,” the pundit said via Watch LFC.

The move showed the confidence Gravenberch is currently playing with, as the midfielder is in the best form of his career. The 22-year-old is set to take on Nottingham Forest for Liverpool on Saturday and will be looking to put on another show for the Anfield crowd.
