A Premier League manager is reportedly facing dressing room unrest just three games into the new season.

The battle to sack managers is heating up as several top managers come under fire over their teams’ difficult starts to life in England’s new top flight.

Sean Dyche is under pressure after losing all three of his opening games as Everton slip to bottom of the Premier League table. Erik ten Hag has had a similar start at Man United, and a number of newly promoted managers are struggling to cope with increased competition at the top level.

Leicester City are among the struggling clubs who, after winning the championship, have taken just one point from their opening three games and face fellow club Crystal Palace this weekend.

According to The Sun, manager Steve Cooper is already struggling with dissatisfaction among some players within his first team, due to the unconvincing performances and results for the Foxes.

Cooper’s hands-off approach to management has not convinced some experienced players who are not convinced that the Englishman is the best person to take the club forward.

Former head coach Enzo Maresca moved from Leicester to Chelsea this summer, taking Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall with him, bringing his intensive preparation style with him.

Under Maresca, Leicester’s stars were constantly briefed on all aspects of his vision, both in training and on match days, while Cooper operates a less intensive management style.

The 44-year-old, who was sacked by Nottingham Forest last season, gives players more freedom to express themselves and make decisions without his input.

Cooper also asked a number of players for their opinions on the game’s tactics and potential new players.

At Forest, Cooper was generally liked by the group of players he worked with, but he suffered a number of worrying results which ultimately led to him being forced to leave the City Ground in December.

He initially took a break from football in the second half of last season, but then returned to the Premier League, where he is tasked with keeping Leicester among England’s elite.

Cooper is currently signed on a three-year contract at the King Power Stadium, which has only been running for a few months.
