Premier League: Follow your club this season with BBC Sport

A number of our clubs are closely followed by BBC Sport football news reporters.

Nizaar Kinsella deals with a group of London clubs including Chelsea, Tottenham and Brentford. He says the Blues “look unsettled in so many ways”.

“The question is when and how it can be resolved. If it clicks, it could be glorious, but fans are increasingly losing patience.”

There is talk of a takeover at Spurs, but can Ange Postecoglou end the long wait for a trophy?

Kinsella also wonders whether Brentford’s “unbridled success” in data-first football could take them into Europe:

“Many within the club believe they can achieve more. I wonder if it’s just arrogance or reality.”

Our Everton reporter Shamoon Hafez believes the Toffees have “added quality” this summer with “smart signings”.

Simon Steen will be spread across Manchester but will remain close to City and United.

“City are the best club in England, bar none,” he says. “They have the best manager and some of the best players.

“United have become a bit of a soap opera in recent years, but with a new co-owner, a new staff and manager Erik ten Hag on a new contract, is this the year they start performing on the pitch again?”

Stone will also report on news from Brighton and West Ham.

Nick Mashiter will cover the Midlands. He believes Aston Villa “will be keen to show that the decision to sell Douglas Luiz to Juventus was the right one”.

According to Mashiter, Gary O’Neil has ended his search for a number nine at Wolves by signing Jorgen Strand Larsen from Celta Vigo.

He therefore believes that there is “hope that they can keep up the pace in the race for Europe this time”.

Leicester City face the proviso of a points deduction and so, Mashiter said, “survival is the aim” and “anything more is a bonus”.

He will also report from Nottingham Forest, where he believes a “more fluid” campaign image is desirable, adding: “A period of anonymity would be very welcome.”

Finally, Alex Howell, who covers Arsenal, Fulham and Crystal Palace, says the Eagles’ recent football is the best he has seen in his time covering the club.

But he warns that to match the ‘ambition of manager Oliver Glasner’ they must ‘retain’ key players and make ‘shrewd’ decisions.

So, Eagles fans, what needs to happen before the deadline? We want to know., external
