Pokémon Go Beldum Community Day Classic Guide

Pokemon go has a Beldum Community Day event on Sunday August 18, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PMin your local time.

As expected at a Community Day event, Beldum will spawn in large numbers with a high chance of looking shiny. There are also several other bonuses and benefits, which we have listed below.

According to old research from the now-defunct website The Silph Road (via Wayback Machine), the number of Shiny Pokémon on Community Days is around 1 in 24. That means that if you keep playing for the three-hour period, you’ll find quite a few Shiny Pokémon.

If you’re short on time or Poké Balls, you can pop an Incense and then quickly tap each Beldum to see if there are any shiny ones, running away from any that aren’t. Notably, any Beldums you’ve already tapped will be looking at where your player is standing, so that should help you identify the ones you’ve already checked.

As you evolve Metang inside Meta Gross from 2pm to 7pm local time it teaches the loaded move Meteor Mash.

If you miss evolving it during this time, you can likely evolve it during a Community Day weekend event in December to Meteor MashIf you don’t want to wait, you can use an Elite TM to get the move.

Metagross is one of the best steel-type Pokémon in the game, only really outclassed by Dusk Mane Necrozma (an event-only Legendary Pokémon/Ultra Beast, so take that as you will). Even better is a shadow Metagross, so if you have the chance to get a shadow Beldum from a Team Go Rocket member and you have the resources to level it up, by all means, do so.

Metagross’s best moveset is Shot put And Meteor Mash and with this he can quickly defeat most opponents, especially Fairy, Ice, and Rock Pokémon.

Mega MetaGross has not been added to Pokemon go not yet, but you should use this as an opportunity to get a good Beldum with the intention of eventually using it to get a Mega Metagross. While we can’t confirm any details yet since it’s not in the game, it’s very likely extreme powerful and worth having.

That being said, you should definitely put some eggs in incubators and grab an Incense and try to get some powerful Beldum.
