Pleasant, but warm Veterans Day followed by a quiet weather week

FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS

  • VETERANS DAY: Cool morning, warm afternoon and mostly sunny skies

  • NEXT COOL FRONT: Arriving Wednesday, temperatures are still unseasonably warm

  • ANY RAIN? No big chances this week

  • STRONGER FRONT? Some indications for cooler air NEXT week, especially between 11/17 and 11/20

PREDICTION

I hope you had a great weekend!

After hitting record highs in San Antonio on Sunday afternoon, temperatures will remain warmer than average this week despite a weak cool front arriving Wednesday.

Starting with Veterans Day, a cool morning in the low 60s (around 50s outside San Antonio) will lead to a warm afternoon with highs in the mid 80s and mostly sunny skies.

A cool morning leads to a warm afternoon with mostly sunny skies and relatively low humidity.

More of the same is expected on Tuesday before our next cool front arrives mid-week. This front will be relatively weak in nature, but could deviate from our high temperatures by a few degrees on Thursday and Friday.

Hoping for rain? Unfortunately, no major chances are expected over the next five to seven days, barring a few stray showers this weekend. We’ll keep an eye on it!

7-day forecast as of 11/10/24.

A STRONGER FRONT SOON?

So far this fall, the coolest high temperature at San Antonio International Airport was 75 degrees on November 5. That’s not necessarily the crisp, cool fall air we long for. Looking ahead, there are some indications that we could see a stronger front sometime next week, between 11/17 and 11/20. That will take a while, but we wanted to give you an extra heads up. We will keep you informed!
