Pikes Peak or Bust parade kicks off the Colorado Springs rodeo

(COLORADO SPRINGS) – On Saturday, July 6, the Pikes Peak of Bust Parade will roll through downtown Colorado Springs before the Pikes Peak of Bust Rodeo begins on Tuesday, July 9 at the Norris Penrose Event Center.

The parade includes a hobby horse race for children, along with races with city and county officials and media outlets. The 81st annual parade along Tejon Street will begin at 10 a.m., with a Street Sweeper Dress Up Review during the parade.


The event is free to the public. Registration for the Lil’ Cowpokes Stick Horse Race is $15 per child in advance and $20 per child on the day of the race.
